Publish time:2021-01-13

Excerpt from Changsha Evening News

How far is it from Changsha to the gate of Wuhan Huoshenshan Hospital?
      359 kilometers!

How long does it take to drive a car during the anti-epidemic period?
  5 hours!

This was measured by the master of Hunan Micomme Medical Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as micomme) in the early morning of the 19th.
At 8:00 on the morning of February 19th, the master dragged 101 respiratory therapy equipment made by the company and drove for 5 hours to reach the entrance of Huoshenshan Hospital.
Of these 101 ventilators, 80 were handed over to Huoshenshan Hospital, and 20 had to be shipped to Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital, while the remaining one was sent to Dr. Cai from Wuhan Central Hospital specifically by the company to satisfy him. "Hospitals urgently need ventilators" appealed.

The short essay of Dr. Cai from Wuhan makes countless netizens heartache

Dr. Cai, director of the Pain Department of Wuhan Central Hospital, was transferred to the hospital for the first-line treatment of COVID-19.

At 9 pm on February 11, Dr. Cai wrote on his Weibo (Chinese Twitter) "Mourning Lin Jun boss, I will send you this way."

According to the article, Lin Jun, the owner of the small commissary of Wuhan Central Hospital, took only two days from the diagnosis of COVID-19 to his death.

In the article, Dr. Cai recalled the past ten years of working with the commissary owner: "All the time, as long as a phone call, a man with a round, black, and kind face is pushing a car. Just send things up..."

In the article, "Many such <nobody> are not so eye-catching around us; suddenly they left us, we finally found out that he is so important in our lives"...it caused countless netizens to feel sad.

Since then, the central media and local media have connected one after another to interview Dr. Cai.

In an interview with China Voice of China Central Radio and Television, Dr. Cai repeatedly mentioned that in his hospital, many patients urgently need ventilators. The first patient he sent away didn't wait the ventilators, he died while the ventilator was still on the way.

  Micomme medical helped Dr. Cai

In the absence of effective antiviral drugs, high-flow oxygen therapy and non-invasive ventilation are the main respiratory support methods for most patients with moderate to severe COVID-19, so that patients should avoid intubation as much as possible.

Micomme medical, located in Changsha High-tech Zone, is the only company in China that can produce these two types of medical equipment at the same time. In this epidemic, it was included in the list of important medical material manufacturers by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

"After learning about Dr. Cai's appeal, we decided to donate a non-invasive ventilator to the Wuhan Central Hospital where he is located." Wang Liang, head of the marketing department of micomme medical, said in an interview with reporters today. 100 ventilators were sent to Wuhan, so the company added one.

After this equipment arrived at Huoshenshan Hospital with micomme's freight truck, it was immediately sent to Wuhan Central Hospital by the Voice of China staff who were waiting there.

At 9:00 that day, Dr. Cai signed for this equipment worth nearly 200,000 yuan.

No need to mobilize, we are producing at full capacity

The equipment that micomme donated to Dr. Cai has been put into use today in Wuhan Central Hospital.

"We use remote video to solve problems in use at any time." Wang Liang said, in order to buy time for customers, now the instruments are installed in Changsha and shipped, and customers can use them immediately after they get the goods.

From January 26 (the second day of the first lunar month) to the emergency resumption of production until now, micomme has started production at full capacity. The output has increased from about 80 units per day before the holiday to 150 to 180 units at present, and there is still a large gap in products.

And what is particularly moving is that the company's products do not increase prices in the case of rising costs.

"Now this really doesn't need to be mobilized. Everyone knows that after this device is made, it can save a person's life when it arrives at the hospital the next day." Wang Liang said, thousands of devices have been sent to Wuhan. And other front lines in the fight against COVID-19.
